1982 - Grandmaster Remy Presas (founder of Modern Arnis) appointed Master Shishir Inocalla as the 1st Datu (Chieftain) and representative of Modern Arnis in Canada.

Since then, we have propagated and promoted Modern Arnis and FMA (Filipino Martial Arts) within BC.

​

Now, we are aiming for Arnis to become an accredited combat sport in British Columbia called Sport Arnis.

​

Arnis is now the national sport and official martial art of the Philippines.

​

Also a member of the Philippine Olympic Committee and the Philippines Sports Commission, as well as the Olympic Counsel of Asia.

Arnis B.C. aims to uplift and promote Sport Arnis across British Columbia, and is a subsidiary of Sport Arnis Canada.
